Post 50, Two-Thirds of Women Feel Most Confident About Bodies
When women reach 52, they feel most comfortable, happy and content with their bodies, finds a study.
The study, conducted by Kellogg's slimming and lifestyle website, found that two-thirds of the women studied feel at their most confident by the time they reach the age of 52.

Half of the 3,000 women questioned said the reason for the peak in self-esteem was the feeling that key goals, such as weight loss, had been achieved by this age.

"There is a certain amount of self-acceptance which comes with age... a woman in her 50s knows who she is, what her strengths are and values, as well as her weaknesses and failings," the Daily Mail quoted London-based psychologist Rebekah Fensome, who specialises in confidence building, as saying.

"You become more accepting of the things that you are good at and the things that you are not.

"Also, because you are getting on in life, such as the children growing up and leaving home, you can have more time for yourself, which can also lead to increased self-confidence," she added.

The survey also found that women would wear red when they feel good about themselves and black when they want to go unnoticed.

"It seems women in their fifties have it sussed when it comes to really understanding the relationship between feeling good on the inside and looking great and what they need to do to achieve this," said Sophie Colling from Kellogg's slimming.
