Osyris Medical's LipoControl System Approved By FDA

France based Osyris Medical has received the nod from FDA for its LipoControl system used for lipolysis.

The LipoControl system employs a 980nm laser to cut fat deposits to size.

Multidisciplinary Support Urged For Bariatric Surgery Patients
The US Endocrine Society has urged multidisciplinary support for those who undergo bariatric surgery. The team will include primary care physician, endocrinologist or gastroenterologist.

The system is designed to use magnetic tracking, and enable real-time imaging of the target area. The system is also designed to compensate for movement.
