Come Halloween and children try to dress in outlandish ways to look spooky. A recent study from Yale University has pointed out that many pregnant women would do anything to avoid having their delivery on this day.
There was a marked reduction in births on Halloween over a 11 year period, the study found.
So, can women influence the timing of spontaneous births just by will power?
The study found that there was a 3.6 percent increase in spontaneous births on Valentine’s day and 5.3% reduction in births on Halloween.
This study shows that psychological and cultural factors can influence pregnancy and the timing of births.
