Mistletoe Helps Cancer Mum Recover After She Shunned Chemo

by Rajshri on Dec 28 2009 9:23 PM

53-year-old Joan van Holsteijn opted to use mistletoe instead of chemotherapy when she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Joan decided to shun chemotherapy after she found that injections of medicine from the so-called kiss plant possessed healing properties.

Some 18 months later Joan is tumor-free.

"I have never had it in the house before but this year I've got a sprig of mistletoe at my front door," she said. "I owe my life to mistletoe. I feel so grateful and well and healthy."

Special needs therapist Joan lives with her husband Simon and daughter Lisa. She was told she needed chemo after the discovery of tumors in her legs. But she decided to try mistletoe.

She visited Park Attwood Clinic in Birmingham where she received injections of medicine refined from mistletoe berries. 18 months later, the tumor in her leg had disappeared.
