Mangalore Hosts 61st Indian Dental Conference

Anil Kohli, president, Dental Council of India (DCI), the chief guest for the conference will inaugurate today the four-day 61st Indian Dental Conference hosted in Mangalore. The conference is held as part of the diamond jubilee celebrations of the Indian Dental Association (IDA)'s of the Dakshina Kannada unit. The conference highlights would be the participation of 200 dental colleges of the Mangalore state.

An estimated 4,700 dental surgeons super-specialists and specialists from various parts of the country and abroad will take part in the conference. Sixty  (60) eminent national and international speakers will share the latest trends in dentistry.

Dr U S Krishna Nayak, Chairman of the Organizing Committee said that the highlights of the conference would be the informative dental exhibition besides two symposia on occupational safety and dental infection control.

 The main agenda of the conference would be to explore newer horizons in dentistry.
