Madonna's Next Adoption Could Be from India

Pop diva Madonna is looking to India to adopt her next baby after her previous adoption of an African boy, it is reported.

At first, Madge planned to adopt a girl from Africa, but discarded the idea due to the frustration that was involved with red tape.

The 49-year-old pop queen has now set her heart on adopting an Indian baby after her New Year holiday in the country.

Sources say that the singer would be flying out to choose a baby after she finishes promoting her new album.

Husband Guy Ritchie, 39, is said to have agreed to the plan after they put a string of rows behind them.

On the trip to India in January, the couple had been accompanied by their kids 11-year-old Lourdes, 7-year-old Rocco, and adopted Malawian son 2-year-old David.

There, they met Bollywood choreographer Sandip Soparrkar, who proved a source of encouragement for Madge to adopt.

"We spoke about how there are so many children in India who need homes," The Sun quoted Soparrkar, as saying.

A source revealed: "Madonna was very taken with Sandip. He told her there were orphans who would melt her heart. Guy was against the idea, but when she wants something, she gets it."

The two-year bid to adopt David was said to be "very stressful".

"Guy thought Madonna was mad to want to go through it all again," the source stated.

"He has always been unsure about adoption as his own mother was adopted and had negative experiences of that.

"But they talked and talked and decided adopting a baby from India would be easier," the source added.
