Wendy Richard, who is fighting an aggressive form of cervical cancer, was at hand to comfort Jade Goody, who was recently diagnosed with the condition.
According to a pal, Goody bumped into the EastEnders legend in hospital as the former Big Brother star waited for chemotherapy treatment."They got on really well and spent hours chatting. They are helping each other. It was Jade's first chemo session and it was absolute agony," the Sun quoted a pal, as saying.
"But she thought Wendy was lovely - and talking to someone going through the same ordeal seemed to help them," she added.
Richard, who played Pauline Fowler in the BBC1 soap for 22 years, is getting married to her partner of 12 years John Burns, 45.
