British director, Gurinder Chadha gave birth to twins at a hospital in London, where she underwent an emergency Caesarean section on Friday, June 9.
The 47-year-old and her husband of ten years, Paul Berges, welcomed the boy and girl twins, that were due to arrive only next month.Predicting the early arrival of twins, Chadha also said that her family has a history of twins, and that she and Berges are really thrilled about it.
She added that they have been really busy so it has been very difficult to plan having kids.
“It's twins - there's lots of twins in my family. Paul and I have been married for 10 years so we're thrilled. It's been very hard to plan as we've been so busy. The babies are due in July, but twins always come early,” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
The ‘Bend it Like Beckham’ director has taken a break from films, and her latest project is the film adaptation of 80s hit ‘Dallas’.
