Hundreds of Babies Born on 11.11.11 in India

Hundreds of babies were born across the country with numerous parents joining the craze to deliver their babies on the “auspicious” date of 11.11.11.

More than 200 babies were born in Gujarat alone with even medical professionals who were expecting babies keen to deliver on that date, reports the Times of India.

“I don't believe numerology but as the date is rare it's a great feeling to become father on the day. My wife Shilpa had completed her nine months in November and we decided to get the baby delivered on Friday. We wanted the delivery to happen on 11:01 am and that's how it happened," Dr Viral Vaghela was quoted as telling the newspaper.

Bhopal’s Monu Mehtele timed the delivery of the baby to perfection with her son being born on 11.11.11 at 11.11am. In total, around 50 babies were born in the city with many even opting for caesarean section to make sure that they give birth on that day.
