Ladies may now have the easiest way to stave off wrinkles, as British scientists are studying an oil popular in Hawaii that might cure wrinkles and awkward skin conditions.
The Kukui oil, which has fatty acids and vitamins A, C and E is said to beat fine lines and even ailments like eczema and psoriasis which are often treated by drugs or powerful steroid creams.The oil’s popularity spread by word of mouth, but now researchers are set to unravel its secret.
Dr Behrooz Nasseri-Aghbosh, Profs Peter Houghton and Jayne Lawrence, of King’s College, London, are analysing the healing powers of the oil.
“We want to see if Kukui oil can reverse damage to the skin. It seems to be having a beneficial effect for many people with dry skin, eczema and psoriasis,” the Sun quoted Dr Nasseri, as saying.
“We are looking at the composition of the oil and conducting experiments,” Dr Nasseri added.
