In a controversial study, researchers from Johns Hopkins University suggest that a single dose of a drug developed by using Psilocybin, or "magic mushrooms" can change the personality of a person in a positive way.
The researchers said that taking such a dose will help a person be more open in his feelings and aesthetic sensibilities and added that the effect of the dose could last even up to a year. The study was conducted on 51 participants with an average age of 46 years.
"The remarkable piece is that psilocybin can facilitate experiences that change how people perceive themselves and their environment. That's unprecedented", lead researcher Roland Griffiths said.
