A new study out of the UK has found that drinking plenty of water has the potential to reduce wrinkles.
The Daily Mail reported that the study recruited female volunteers who were asked to drink at least 8 glasses of water without changing their lifestyle. One group drank ordinary tap water, while the other drank Willow Water found in the Lake district.
Willow contains salicin, which is metabolized to salicylic acid in the body and is used in skin creams for its anti-inflammatory and moisturizing elements.
At the end of 8 weeks, researchers found that women who drank ordinary water had a 19% reduction in wrinkles and those who drank willow water had a 24% reduction.
This analysis was made using the Visia complexion analysis.
