Danielle Lineker - I've Had Arthritis Since I was 15

Welsh lingerie model Danielle Lineker has disclosed that she suffers from arthritis and that it had started when she was just 15 years of age. Danielle, 31, who is married to former England striker and Match Of The Day presenter Gary Lineker, is one of 10 million people in the UK who suffer from arthritis. "I was 15 when I was told I had arthritis. I was playing sport at school and noticed some pain in my knees," the Daily Express quoted her as recalling.

"I remember feeling concerned because I'd seen both my grandmothers riddled with pain with their arthritis.

"They couldn't sleep and painkillers seemed to do nothing but luckily mine does not seem to have progressed," she said.

She revealed that most don't believe her when she tells them she has arthritis, and they usually ask her if she is sure about it.

"The cold weather makes it worse so I've been feeling it a lot lately and certain movements can bring on the pain too," she revealed.

"I took my nine-year-old daughter Ella ice-skating recently and the pain in my knees became so bad I had to stop.

"It made me sad I can't even do something so simple with her, even at my age. Skiing would be unthinkable," she added.
