Hollywood actress Christina Applegate, who has recently undergone double mastectomy, as she is battling with breast cancer, would be undergoing reconstructive operation around her 37th birthday.

The 'Samantha Who?' actress is bravely fighting the disease, and does not want to be termed a victim, and is pretty excited about getting the reconstructive operation done.

"I still have quite a process until this is done," The New York Daily quoted Christina, as saying.

"Yes, it's hard. It sucks. But I'm not a victim," she added.

Applegate, who is a workaholic, revealed that although cancer made her change her point of view in many ways, it has not affected her zeal for life.

"I started looking for a beach house the day I found out I had this little disease, you just kind of go, 'what are you waiting for to get the things that you want and the things you dream of?" she said.

"I don't own tomorrow or yesterday - today is all I've got, and if I don't make today good, then I'm only gonna' be p--ssed off tomorrow!" she added.

Applegate took time to grieve, as weeks before having both her breasts removed, two of her cats died and her ex-beau, Lee Grivas, was also found dead of an apparent drug overdose.
