The norovirus bug infamous for causing people to be sick with vomiting and diarrhea has descended on the cancer ward of Belfast City Hospital. This has prompted the officials to stop admission of new patients into the ward.
In-patients however continue to remain in the ward.The country was plagued by the norovirus bug only as recent as January this year, making it the bugs’ second visit to the hospital during the same year. Earlier in January, the norovirus attack had caused the closure of two wards to new admissions and left 20 patients seriously ill.
