A 5-year-old girl from Kentucky was prevented from flying
to China for experimental stem-cell treatments by two airlines, who said she
was too sick to make the journey.
The girl in question is Hailey Goranflo who has a rare
condition called Late Infantile Batten Disease. Air Canada and Air China
refused to transport her to Beijing after a doctor in Vancouver did not sign a
