After Video Game Indicated She was Obese, UK Woman Sheds 57 Kilos
In yet another testimony to how the virtual world is ruling our lives these days, a UK woman lost 57 kilograms over two years because a video game indicated that she was overweight.
The 33-year-old woman from London, only known as Rose, weighed 142kg when she had bought a Nintendo Wii home video game console for her daughters as a Christmas present in 2010, the Star Online reported.

She had also wanted to use the console, which reads body movements to execute moves in the games, to shed the pounds.

However, Rose got herself a rude shock when she stepped on the Wii Fit balance board to play one of the games for the first time.

The device told her "frankly" that she was overweight and her avatar on the screen exploded. It was reported that Rose was determined from then on to lose weight.

She started replacing chips and cookies with fruits and juice and is now able to enjoy playing on the Wii with her two daughters.
