A new study carried out in Britain has revealed that the typical working hours of an employee has increased by almost an hour with just a half an hour lunch time squeezed in between.
The study, commissioned by Merchant Gourmet, revealed that a typical employee starts working at 8.28am and does not go home until 5.29pm. Majority of the 4,000 odd employees who took part in the study said that the main reason for working harder was because of pressures from their boss.
The study also found that more than 20 percent of the employees have their breakfast in front of their desk while more than 15 percent manage to keep working even when having their lunch.
