89 Indian Workers Died in First Four Months of 2014 in Qatar

A total of 89 Indian workers have died in Qatar while preparing the venues for 2022 World Cup, official figures from the Indian embassy have revealed.

Death toll of Indian labors has risen to 567 from January 2012.

Analysis of previous death figures has shown that a high proportion were involved in workplace accidents or suffered sudden heart failure, the report added.
