Revealing the sex of the child to their parents has landed more than 25 doctors in hot water with the Haryana government stating that it will be enforcing the Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PNDT) Act and Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) in a strict manner.
Haryana has one of the worst sex ratio in the country Health Minister Geeta Bhukkal revealed that she will be doing all she can to make sure that female foeticide is prevented in the state.

Anemia is the commonest blood disorder that may occur in pregnancy and is usually due to low iron or folate reserves of the body and this is reflected as anemia.

Bhukkal went on to state that more than 200 ultrasound centres have lost their license while 125 ultrasound machines had been seized by the District Appropriate Authorities.
