An 18-year-old Australian has been arrested in Sydney held for sexually assaulting 82-year-old woman.
The nasty incident took place in a park the north western part of the city – and on the Mother's Day.Police say the elderly woman was walking through the park in Anzac Avenue at about 6am Sunday when the young man pounced on her, threw her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.
Members of the public heard the woman screaming and called police.
The 18-year-old Ermington man was arrested after a short chase through the park.
The woman was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
The arrested man was taken to Ryde Police Station where he was charged with aggravated sexual assault, assault with intent to have sexual intercourse, resisting arrest and assaulting police.
What with the media assaulting one’s senses all the time with all kinds of porn material, youngsters tend to get depraved, but none cares to take on the smut purveyors, observers say.
