What are Gastric Problems?

Occurs in stomach / oesophagus
Disturbance of gastric mucosa leads to acid secretion
Acids contact stomach nerve endings
Causes pain / discomfort

May be acute / chronic
Acute gastric problem reduces quickly
Chronic gastric problems lead to ulcers

Causes

Physical and mental stress can also cause ulceration
Causes of gastric mucosa inflammation:

Acidic foods
Alcohol
Smoking
Stress
Drugs

Drugs which causes gastric trouble

Aspirin
Nicotine
Corticosteroids
Erythromycin
Beta- Blockers

Symptoms

Constant Pain
Indigestion
Nausea
Vomiting
Loss of appetite
Diarrhea

Avoid

Hot Spicy foods
Alcohol
Smoking
Excessive eating
Large meals before bed
Fatty food
Pulse
Late nights

Treatment

Acute problems resolve spontaneously
Chronic problems should be treated
Drugs for treatment include:

Antacids
H2 antagonists
Proton pump inhibitors

Timely meals releives pain due to ulcers

Dear sir, I am 31 years old suffering heart pain some times, neck pain, shoulder pain and vomiting sensation i consulted doctors, checked ECG test found some abnormality and then checked echo test found normal. They told gastric problem.since last 3 months am suffering these. Please give me solution.

My daughter is 10 years old from Nepal and having gastric problem.She is avoiding to eat and only wants to vomit.So that she is suffering from headache too.I gave her digene and lukewarm water too but its not worked. For 10 years old baby which medicine is preferrable for immediate result? so plz advise soon.
