Spread of Dengue and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever

As mentioned before Dengue is transmitted by the Mosquito vector Aedes mosquito.

The mosquito is first infected with dengue virus after it bites a person who has dengue fever or DHF. After a week of multiplication inside the mosquito, the dengue virus can be transmitted to a healthy person by the mosquito bite.

Dengue cannot spread directly from person to person.
