Ventricles: Spaces in the brain in which the CSF circulates

Hypoxia: Low oxygen content in blood and to tissues as a result

Ischemia: Decreased blood flow to an organ

Acidosis: Accumulation of acid and hydrogen ions or depletion of the alkaline reserve (bicarbonate content) in the blood and body tissues, resulting in a decrease in pH

Meningitis: Inflammation of the coverings of the brain

Encephalitis: Inflammation of brain matter

Hyperventilation: Abnormally fast or deep breathing resulting in increased CO2 loss from blood

Hypothermia: Low core body temperature
