Vegetarian Diet Reduces Risk of Relapse in Kids With Multiple Sclerosis
The risk of multiple sclerosis (MS) increases with several genetic and environmental factors like the previous infection with Epstein Barr virus, exposure to second-hand cigarette smoke, and low vitamin D levels. The risk of relapse in children with multiple sclerosis is higher when compared to adults. Hence, the research team analyzed the impact of diet in this age group. Children with multiple sclerosis (MS) who consume a diet rich in vegetables can reduce the risk of relapse by halve, reveals a new study.
