A malaria vaccine which is still in the experimental stage has been found to offer protection against a strain of malaria that is not contained in the vaccine, according to the research team from The University of Maryland School of Medicine (UM SOM) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH)''s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).
