Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine to Treat Genital Warts
Vaccines that prevent certain types of infections caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV) are called HPV vaccines. HPV infections are one of the most common sexually transmitted infections in the United States. It is estimated that around 14 million new genital infections could occur every year. A research team from the Boston Medical Center has recently published clinical evidence to support the new recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that suggest, a two-dose HPV vaccine to prevent genital warts.
