Childhood obesity and overweight is now on the rise with one-third of American children being affected. It is of prime concern as it is associated with serious health issues, such as diabetes, heart disease and asthma. Researchers at University of California San Diego School of Medicine found parent-based therapy (PBT) where the child does not attend has similar outcomes and could be more cost-effective.
