Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Awareness

STDs are infectious diseases that can be transmitted from one person to another via intimate sexual contact. The Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Awareness Month is observed annually in April in the U.S. The 2017 theme for the month is ''Syphilis Strikes Back''. The World Health Organization estimates suggest that approximately a million cases of treatable STDs occur every day across the globe.
