A narrowing of the tube (the ureter) that carries urine from the kidneys to the bladder which may lead to kidney damage and serious infections. This condition is known as ureteral stricture. Image-guided brachytherapy (IGBT) using intracavitary (IC) combined with interstitial (IS) techniques are found to be safer and was not linked to more cases of ureteral stricture when compared to using intracavitary techniques alone.
