"Touch Your Heart - Donate for Love" is being led by Touchmedia and Mr. Lui and Micky Fung, Founder and Executive Chairman of Touchmedia, were joined by famous actress Yvonne Yung Hung, 2011 Miss Universe China Roseline Luo, the "WOW Girl" fitness guru Nancy Pon and Robert Foye, CMO at Coca-Cola China/Korea.  Amongst the beneficiaries of their blood donations will be young leukemia patients being treated in several hospitals in Shanghai.  The campaign is also being supported by Shanghai Dazhong Taxi Fleet which arranged free taxis to ferry participants to and from the Blood Center.

In September, Touchmedia will run a series of video commercials about the celebrity volunteer blood donation drive on its 40,000 interactive screens in China's six main cities: Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Hong Kong.  Touchmedia's 21,000 in-taxi interactive screens in Shanghai will have an interactive program explaining how easy it is to donate blood and the benefits.  The organizers believe this will lead more people to donate blood and ease the shortage for hospital and emergency use.

On Saturday, Mr. Lui and Mr. Fung on behalf of Touchmedia, Mr. Zhu Yongming, Director of the Shanghai Red Cross Blood Center and Mr. Zhu Yueguo, Director of the Shanghai Blood Management Office, signed the "Blood Donation Publicity Strategy Agreement", to collectively launch the blood donation program.   At the event Ray Lui emphasized the ease and the impact of giving. "Donating blood saves lives.  It is easy, painless and won't affect your health.  I hope everyone will take 20 minutes to help save a life!"

Shanghai has numerous medical institutions and is a leader in medical care nationally.  Its resources help patients from all over the country.  Last year more than 2,600,000 people stayed in Shanghai hospitals and over 400,000 of them required blood.  But only 1.32% of the population donates blood. Enhancing blood supply levels is urgent and publicity for volunteers, as well as streamlining the process, are crucial.
