Niine reached out to many women lawyers and judges in the district court of Gurugram to understand and empathise with the real physical problems women faced every month due to menstruation more than the taboos associated with it.

A number of advocates, both male and female at the District Court of Gurugram welcomed this progressive move, calling it a revolutionary move to empathise with the women workforce. During the initial run-up and drive, the Niine team met with Mihir Singh Yadav, President of the Bar Association and Kamal Jeet Kataria, Secretary of the Bar Association, besides Adv. Vinod Budgujar, Adv. Kavita Chauhan, Adv. Bindu Bhargav, Adv. Reena Jha and Adv. Aruna.

The legal fraternity in the District Court of Gurugram praised the initiative and encouraged more installations of such vending machines to acknowledge the health hazards women are subjected to due to non-availability of sanitary napkins at affordable prices or inaccessibility of sanitary napkins.

Commenting on the development Adv. Reena Jha said, "Advocates typically work very long hours and women are no exception. A step like this shows us that authorities empathise with us and are not afraid to address an issue as vital as menstruation. Installation of sanitary pad vending machines will also increase productivity since women will not have to bother about these things and concentrate on their work." Adv. Vinod Budgujar added, "The decision to install sanitary napkin vending machines sets a precedent for other government organizations with women employees. We hope other organizations follow suit and implement a similar model in their offices to express their support for their women employees."

Speaking about Niine's Gurugram District Court initiative, Amar Tulsiyan, Founder, Niine Sanitary Napkins & Niine Movement, said: "Niine is delighted to have received support and permission of the court authorities. This will serve thousands of women at the Gurugram court. We believe it is important to make hygiene products accessible to all the advocates and staff of the court. And this is just the beginning, we want to cover as many courts and commercial areas to spread the word."
