Expansion enables healthcare law firm to accelerate growth and expanded services and support for healthcare and life sciences

LOS ANGELES, April 18, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Nelson Hardiman, LLP, the second-largest healthcare and life sciences law firm in California, is announcing its forthcoming move in August 2018 to a 41,000+ square foot office at 1100 Glendon in the Westwood area of Los Angeles, California. The move was sparked by the law firm's rapid growth in recent years to over 44 people, including 25 attorneys.

"Our expanded new space was just a logical step in our business growth strategy," said managing partner Harry Nelson. "Beyond being blessed with an influx of work resulting from the transformation of U.S. healthcare, we have become an 'in-demand' place for healthcare lawyers to work." In the past year alone, Vault ranked Nelson Hardiman as the #1 firm (under 150 lawyers) nationwide for firm culture, in addition to top 10 rankings in numerous other categories. The Los Angeles Business Journal also ranked Nelson Hardiman #14 on its 2017 survey of Best Places to Work in Los Angeles. According to Nelson, the firm is seriously exploring the opening of a Northern California office, as well moving forward on plans for a location in Orange County in the near future.

In addition to giving the firm new headquarters in Los Angeles with more than triple its current office footprint, the move supports the company's growth strategy by adding larger presentation space for Nelson Hardiman's frequent calendar of educational and networking events for the healthcare and life sciences community. "Our office has become a crossroads for the healthcare community in Los Angeles," commented Nelson.

The move was also precipitated by the expanding needs of several organizations that have grown out of the firm's industry leadership over the past decade. With total head-count of more than 30 in various organizations incubated by Nelson Hardiman, 1100 Glendon will also be home to healthcare compliance consulting group Compliagent, advocacy and education organization Behavioral Health Association of Providers (BHAP, formerly known as the American Addiction Treatment Association), and Adaptive Health Capital, a healthcare investment fund and capital markets advisory group.

With extensive collaborative spaces, event space, a full kitchen, and other amenities, Nelson Hardiman expects the new space to fuel its continued growth. According to firm COO Beth Berke, the firm plans to make offices and co-working space available to healthcare organizations and other friends of the firm. "The new space is emblematic of our culture of collaboration, quality of work and quality of life, and transparency. We are excited to share it with our clients, our colleagues, and the community as we continue to innovate in ways that exceed expectations."
