With a conference theme of "Multidisciplinary Integrative Treatment of Eating Disorders," iaedp™ professionals will offer training focused on the medical, psychiatric, nutritional and psychological aspects of assessment and treatment of eating disorders. Conducted in Spanish, the conference will be held on Saturday, August 10th from 8:30 a.m.6:00 p.m. at the Residence Inn by Marriott in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Since the inception of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals, (iaedp™) the organization's mission and goals have focused on attracting and serving professionals from around the world. In October 2008, iaedp™ created the International Relations Committee (IRC) to begin addressing the needs of the group's growing international community.

In 2018, the iaedp™ International Chapter was officially established under the leadership of Rosanna Mauro de Maya, MS, CEDRD-S, with the guidance and support of Blanche Williams, iaedp's™ Director of International Development. As founding President, Rosanna has leveraged her professional reputation and strong global relationships in the field to provide stability and vision moving forward.

Today as the International Chapter President, Mauro, who resides and practices in Costa Rica, is joined by other distinguished chairpersons representing seven other global countries/regions: Chair of Bulgaria: Elisaveta V. Pavlova, PhD, CEDS Co-Chairs of Dominican Republic: Aridia Vasquez, MD, RD and Zuleika Morillo, MD Chair of Jamaica: Caryl James, PhD, Chair/Jamaica,
