MCDONOUGH, Ga., April 8, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In the first of many consecutive efforts to respond to the national emergency to combat COVID-19, Encompass Group, LLC today announced a direct corporate donation through a national call-to-action program, SHARE, established and implemented by the Society of Nurse Scientists Innovators Entrepreneurs & Leaders (SONSIEL), in partnership with the GLO Good Foundation.
SONSIEL initiated SHARE—"Strengthen Healthcare Ability to Respond to Emergencies"—March 17, 2020 to instantly ignite community efforts to rapidly identify existing inventories of personal protective equipment (PPE) and move the urgently needed items to healthcare workers at high risk of infection. Through its network of professionals and volunteers, SONSIEL immediately called on non-hospital healthcare organizations and commercial businesses to help raise as much protective gear as possible, as quickly as possible, and to voluntarily move it into hot-spot areas. Within days, Encompass Group, LLC had committed to shipment of approximately 1,200 disposable jackets to assist frontline healthcare.
The Encompass Group, LLC SHARE donation was part of tens of thousands of pieces of protective gear conveyed from private and corporate donors to hospital healthcare staff in over a dozen hard-hit states. A March 20, 2020 ABC News NIGHTLINE episode featured SHARE program activity, with SONSIEL President & Co-Founder Rebecca C. Love and GLO Good Foundation Co-Founder Dr. Jonathan B. Levine. The NIGHTLINE story footage included jackets being packed and shipped out by Encompass Group, LLC.
