Hundreds of medical students will walk out of classes and clinical attachments to draw attention to the health impacts of climate change.

AMSA, which represents Australia's 17,000 medical students, joinsthe Australian Medical Association in recognising climate change as a health emergency.

"Australia's future doctors are extremely concerned about the impacts of climate change on Australians health," AMSA President, Ms Jessica Yang, said.
Rising heat, extreme weather events, and worsening air pollution are all real health threats our future patients are facing.
Australia's future doctors are taking a stand to highlight the urgent need for action on climate change as a medical emergency.
"Medical students highly value their educational opportunities, but consider a climate not in crisis an even more precious resource."
