AdventHealth Connerton partnering with St. Petersburg, FL company to test Path03Gen Solutions Footwear Sanitizing Stations to eliminate the spread of infection.

LUTZ, Fla., Feb. 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- AdventHealth Connerton is the first specialty acute care facility in

the nation to test the PathO3Gen Solutions Footwear Sanitizing Stations to maximize infection control for patients and their families. The patented, new technology uses proactive Solestice 3/15 TechnologyTM to kill superbugs such as MRSA and C. difficile, which can be transmitted from the bottoms of shoes to patients, visitors and staff. Within six seconds of stepping onto the station, a person's shoes are decontaminated, decreasing the spread of infectious illness. Nine of the innovative stations will be tested throughout the facility.

"The safety of our patients is our number one priority, and we are committed to having the most advanced technology to deliver the best care possible," said Debi Martoccio, Chief Operating Officer of AdventHealth Connerton. "These sanitizing stations allow us to establish new protocols that proactively prevent infections to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients while they're in our care."

AdventHealth Connerton is excited to partner with St. Petersburg, FL company Green Earth Medical Solutions to bring this one of a kind technology to our facility.

"We are excited to work with the team at AdventHealth Connerton to positively influence the patient, employee and visitor experience," said Scott Beal, Chief Operating Officer of Green Earth Medical Solutions. "Our patented technology is the only shoe sanitizing solution that combines the power of both UVC and ozone. Implementation of this technology will enhance all other safety protocols currently put in place by the forward-thinking team at AdventHealth Connerton.
