PENTAX Medical will distribute the Avantis Third Eye® Panoramic™ imaging system through its nationwide sales force. The Avantis Third Eye Panoramic device is the industry's first auxiliary imaging system for colon cancer screening, compatible with most major colonoscopy systems, that enhances field of view, allowing endoscopists to view blind spots behind folds and flexures (tight turns) in the colon.

The Colon Cancer Imperative Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S. according to the American Cancer Society. Approximately 150,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with colon cancer each year, and almost 50,000 die from it. And, while the focus has been on adults over the age of 50, the death rate from colon cancer in young adults is alarmingly on the rise.
