Yoplait(R) Celebrates 10th Anniversary of Save Lids to Save Lives(R) and Sustained Commitment to Fight Against Breast Cancer

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 9 This year marks the milestone 10thanniversary of Save Lids to Save Lives(R), Yoplait(R)'s signature pink lidprogram, which calls for men and women to take action to raise awareness andfunds for breast cancer. To date, Yoplait has donated more than $19 million tothe breast cancer cause. As part of this year's awareness-raising efforts,Yoplait will celebrate 10 years of dedication to the fight against the diseaseby hosting an anniversary concert featuring breast cancer survivor/music iconSheryl Crow.

"This year's campaign is a celebration of what has been accomplished inthe fight against the disease in the past ten years, but also an importantreminder of the work that still needs to be done," said Tammy Sadinsky Martinof Yoplait. "Every lid really matters and with the help from people across thecountry, we can raise up to $1.5 million for the cause this year."

Yoplait's commitment to the fight against breast cancer is really aboutthe power of many -- asking individual people to come together for oneimportant cause and to make a difference. In September and October, specialpink lids will top Yoplait yogurt cups, and for every lid saved and mailed inthrough December 31, 2008, Yoplait will donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen forthe Cure(R), up to $1.5 million with a guaranteed minimum donation of$500,000.

This year, Yoplait is celebrating Save Lids to Save Lives with a 10thAnniversary Concert featuring Sheryl Crow. The concert will take place on10/10/08, at 8:00 p.m. PT, at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA. Supporters cancall 1-877-MY-TEN-LIDS, after 5:00 p.m. ET on 9/9/08, and order up to two freetickets per household to the show (while supplies last). Tickets will bedistributed via mail and attendees are asked to present 10 pink Yoplait lidsat the door with their ticket. Yoplait has pledged to donate $1.00 per pinkYoplait lid collected at the concert to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, equalinga $10 donation per guest.

"As a breast cancer survivor, I am a testament to the importance of earlydetection and new treatments," said Sheryl Crow. "I encourage women and meneverywhere to advocate for themselves and for their future. People can join Sheryl's lid collection efforts on www.YourLidMatters.com,through a new online program that allows people to create teams with theirfamily and friends to support the fight against breast cancer. The Web sitefeatures lid collection tools such as downloadable posters and bin labels,recruit-a-friend emails and customizable send-to-a-friend eCards, alid-tracking widget to personalize your blog or MySpace page and customizabledigital downloadables to spread the word through online social networking Websites. The Web site provides another outlet for people to connect in supportof Save Lids to Save Lives and the breast cancer cause.

Yoplait's relationship with Susan G. Komen for the Cure began in 1999 withthe company's sponsorship of Race Volunteers. In 2000, the company became thenational sponsor and in 2001, the national presenting sponsor of the Race forthe Cure(R).
