LONDON, May 03, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NUH) is one of the largest NHS providers in the UK, providing services to over 2.5 million residents of Nottingham and its surrounding communities. The trust provides further specialist services for an additional 3-4 million people from across the region. The trust is based across a number of sites and employs over 15,000 people.

Having worked with Winscribe for a number of years, NUH have seen firsthand the benefits achievable through a digital workflow solution. However, with more community work being undertaken on a yearly basis, the trust wanted to explore the possibilities of mobile working and the efficiencies that could result.

Staff in the Community Paediatrics department at NUH needed the tools to deliver a high standard of documentation quickly, accurately and effectively, whilst on the move. The solution needed to be able to offer a faster documentation process to ease the workload of staff and enable them the opportunity to focus on patients.

Following an analysis of the requirements, the trust decided their best option was to implement Winscribe's mobile application, which seamlessly integrates with their existing Winscribe Dictation platform.

Winscribe's mobile application, Winscribe Professional, has enabled the trust to benefit from:

  • Dictation on the move over 3G, 4G and WiFi supporting community work
  • An easy to use mobile application that required minimum training
  • A solution that is available on all popular mobile device platforms - on iPhone mobile devices for NUH, but also available on Android, BlackBerry and tablets
  • An intuitive and ergonomic user interface – allowing for a fast user uptake
  • Low cost of ownership
With more licenses being rolled out on a regular basis, Winscribe are pleased to see the benefits that NUH have been able to achieve through the Winscribe mobility platform.

Stephen Sadler, Delivery Manager at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS, commented: "We are really happy with the solution, which gives our Community Paediatrics department the ability to dictate and upload whilst out in the community – enabling them to work fully mobile."

"Winscribe's mobility applications transform the way healthcare users are able to work across the NHS; enabling fast and accurate dictation on-the-go, even in areas with poor internet connection. We're pleased to see how beneficial this has been for our userbase, like the Community Paediatrics department at Nottingham University Hospitals," explained Dualtagh Franklin, Healthcare Account Manager at Winscribe.
