PALM DESERT, Calif., May 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- PINK Tanning & Body Spa (PINK) is joining with Dr. Jon
"Chiropractic care is incomplete without the exercises required to strengthen muscle and build on the pain relief attained through proper adjustment. Controlling the muscle is key, as muscle then controls and positions the bones to maintain proper adjustment," says Dr. Franks, who has been practicing Chiropractic medicine since 1981. "I offer patients the immediate pain relief found during chiropractic manipulation, and demonstrate follow-up exercises that will allow the patient to enjoy relief for longer periods by building up muscle strength and proper alignment. Then you have a complete treatment experience."
Dr. Franks began practicing in the greater Los Angeles area in 1981 following his graduation from the prestigious Logan Chiropractic University in St. Louis, MO. His clientele has included famed athletes and actors including Lou Ferrigno, Sylvester Stallone, Larry Bird, Eric Dickerson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. After working in Los Angeles for many years, Dr. Franks moved to the Coachella Valley in late 2010.
Dr. Franks, who lost the use of his legs in a motorcycle accident in 1985, has maintained his practice because of his unique athleticism and exceptional endurance. Dr. Franks has competed in the Iron Man competition and other triathlons often beating his opponents. His knowledge of athletics and sports medicine gives him keen insight into the chiropractic needs of athletes, weekend warriors, and even those who just work out on occasion. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Franks, you can contact him directly at 760-920-6394.
