Crossroads' Executive Director Renee Cole reported, "The main hospital has had many names over the years from Tri Lakes, Community Health Systems, Merritt and most recently Panola Medical Center." Ms. Cole added that, "The psychiatric hospital has always been referred to as the "west campus."
Mark Schneider added, "The change to Crossroads signals a new business strategy that will distinguish the hospital as a discrete entity while maintaining the advantages of it's close connection with Panola Medical Center. The name Crossroads recognizes the unique cultural connections with northeastern Mississippi."

The Panola Medical Center was Vizion's third acquisition. Vizion currently owns two facilities in Miami, Oklahoma; Willow Crest Hospital and Moccasin Bend Ranch. Willow Crest is a 50-bed acute care psychiatric hospital and Moccasin Bend Ranch is a 28-bed residential treatment facility. Both facilities treat children and adolescents. Vizion's portfolio also includes Fort Behavioral Health, a 133-bed newly renovated, state-of-the-art behavioral health facility in Fort Worth, Texas which treats both substance abuse and children with autism. Fort Behavioral opened on March 4, 2019.
