BOSTON, Oct. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- VitalFit, the fast-growing plant-based supplement company started by Boston

entrepreneurs Cameron Fischer and Alfred Schofield, announced today the launch of Planted: an innovative plant-based blend in the rapidly growing liquid meal segment.  Planted provides all the nutrients needed for a complete meal and the single servings allow for easy, on the go convenience.

Planted launched in high-end fitness studios, gyms and nutritional stores throughout the Boston area, and on The product comes after the debut of the company's Tart Cherry Extract, which released in April and quickly became one of the fastest selling nutrients in the Boston market.

"We wanted to follow the tart cherry with something even more accessible and practical," said Fischer. "Peoples' lives have become increasingly hectic, and there are a lot of demands on our time. It's not always possible to plan out and prepare the healthiest meal in an on-the-go, 'now-now-now' lifestyle. Planted provides that solution: an all-in-one, meal replacement filled with all the nutrients and energy you need to get through the day. At the root of it are pumpkin seeds, which are scientifically proven to be among the healthiest proteins for your body."

"VitalFit has made our name on only delivering the healthiest, plant-based products, and Planted lives up to that promise," said Schofield. "Our customers are highly-functional, fitness-minded people who lead busy, dynamic lives, and we wanted to give them a product to fuel that lifestyle. It also provides pre-workout energy, post-workout recovery and fills the needs of a balanced meal."

In creating Planted, Fischer and Schofield devised a formula that not only delivered nutrients but also digestive enzymes which makes the protein easy (and delicious!) to drink.  "Cold-pressed isn't just for juices. We cold-press our organic pumpkin seeds to squeeze out every last nutrient. Then we work with entirely natural ingredients to create a formula that tastes like a fresh smoothie from your favorite juice shop, all without a lick of sugar," says Fischer.

Among the nutrients VitalFit added to the product are Beta-Alanine (to boost endurance), Carnitine (for increased energy production), Glutamine (proven to aid muscle maintenance, immune function and intestinal health), Lysine (known to stimulate collagen formation), Taurine (which helps cardiovascular support, glucose control, protein synthesis) and 3 Branch-Chained Amino Acids (which repair muscle damage and facilitate muscle recovery. Planted is also free of gluten, grain, sugar, soy, wheat and dairy.

VitalFit was conceived by Fischer and Schofield while on winter break from Babson College's Graduate School of Business. Fischer completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania in 2015 and recently received his master's degree in entrepreneurship at Babson. Schofield graduated with honors from UMass Amherst's Isenberg School of Management in 2014, and also earned his master's degree at
