Victhom has developed the Neurostep(R) System, an implantableneurostimulation device designed to restore mobility and independence forpatients with partial paralysis of the leg as a result of hemiparetic stroke.The Neurostep(R) System has been engineered to integrate with the body'snatural sensing and stimulation network and designed to closely mimic specificfunctions that have been interrupted or lost due to disease or injury. TheNeurostep(R) is an investigational medical device currently in human clinicalstudy in four clinical sites outside U.S. and is planned for marketintroduction in Europe late 2009.
