Vetsource is poised to grow its workforce extensively over the next five years to bring additional innovative solutions to the veterinary profession. This increased investment in its workforce will improve Vetsource's ability to create better medical and financial outcomes for veterinarians and their pet parents.
After 10 years in its current location, rapid expansion and an unprecedented opportunity for growth has created the need to expand Vetsource's workforce and facilities. The main base of operations — consisting of sales, marketing, operations and finance — will move to serve as the corporation's headquarters, while the customer service, pharmacy and warehouse functions of the business will remain at its current location in eastern Portland. This move will allow all areas of the company to grow as Vetsource continues to help its customers run a better business, deliver better care, and enhance overall client experience.

In partnership with real estate consultants Jones Lang LaSalle Inc., a lease for the 35,000-square-foot building was signed at the end of June 2018. Construction, based on designs by LRS Architects, will commence in early August, with a scheduled move-in date of December 2018.
In alignment with Vetsource's pet-friendly and collaborative culture, both staff and their four-legged companions will have a variety of features to look forward to. Designs for the Cascade Station building include an off-leash dog and pet parent play area, as well as a separate entrance to clean paws and refresh with a wash area and canine drinking fountain.
In addition to the dog room that will provide social opportunities for staff and pets alike, there will be numerous collaboration spaces. In keeping with one of Vetsource's core values to embrace change and be innovative, much of the building will provide opportunities for staff to do just that. From an open office concept to impromptu huddle spaces, several meetings rooms and a quiet working room, team members are encouraged to work closely with each other, both locally and virtually.
Located at 9500 NE Cascades Parkway, the new headquarters was selected based on its capacity for staff expansion and proximity to amenities, including Cascade Station, which features a variety of shops, restaurants and hotels. The location also allows convenient options for commuters of all types, as it is minutes away from Portland International Airport, within walking distance of the MAX Light Rail, and less than a mile from Interstate 205.
