Vermillion, Inc. (NASDAQ: VRML), a molecular diagnostics company, today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued a notice of allowance for a patent entitled "Saposin D and Fam3C are Biomarkers for Alzheimer's Disease." The patent claims cover the biomarkers saposin D and Fam3c as well as combinations that include these biomarkers.
