VSP recently surveyed its individual plan members and found the key reason for enrollment was the lack of vision coverage through their employer. Retirement, unemployment and self-employment without vision coverage were the next deciding factors.

"VSP developed this individual plan to help make vision coverage more affordable and accessible to those who may not have vision coverage through their employer or through other means," said Gary Brooks, VSP Vision Care President. "We are thrilled to now offer individual coverage in all 50 states, and broaden access to eyecare which not only improves healthy vision, but helps monitor overall health at an affordable price."
