LOS ANGELES, July 10, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In an effort to provide men with the opportunity to balance relational recovery and daily responsibilities, the 6-week Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) developed by Triune Therapy Group in Los Angeles includes 72 hours of individualized, focused care. A key aspect of the program involves helping men understand the root and ritual associated with unhealthy or compulsive sexual behaviors. As participants identify the sources or life events that have contributed to their behaviors, they can begin to overcome shame, develop empathy and break the cycle of acting out.
For men that have faced difficulties in committed relationships, or who have struggled with sex, love or porn addiction, or who have been accused of sexual harassment and misconduct, this evening IOP incorporates daily individual and group sessions Monday through Thursday. In addition, the incorporation of both task and process groups, paired with individual, couples' and partner's support, when appropriate, allow for a wrap-around package of uniquely tailored care. To channel the body's innate processing and healing capabilities, somatic experiencing and/or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) is a therapeutic approach that empowers participants to move beyond the burden of a specific trauma or event.
