Torrid's Model Search Winners, Celebrities Celebrate Fashion and Help Support the National Breast Cancer Foundation at the House of Dreams Event

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Torrid's 2009 House of Dreams Runway Event on September 24th was a smashing success for the retailer known as the destination for young women's plus-size fashion. Celebrity guests, industry tastemakers and Torrid fans packed the courtyard at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM)--home of this season's Project Runway--to celebrate fashion, honor people who work to motivate women and to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). With an opening performance by Brooke Hogan and a grand finale performance by up-and-coming singer and musician Priscilla Renea, it was an amazing, star-studded evening of fierce fashion and entertainment.

Chosen from thousands of entries, the seven gorgeous winners of Torrid's 2009 House of Dreams model search rocked the runway in cutting edge apparel and accessories by Torrid, and in couture gowns created by FIDM students. The gowns are available by auction on Torrid.com and all of the proceeds will go to the NBCF.

America's Next Top Model, Season 10 winner, Whitney Thompson, emceed the Torrid event and other celebrity attendees included the VH1 comedy duo Frangela; Dance Your Ass Off creator and judge Lisa Ann Walter; comedian Loni Love; American Idol contestant Nikki Mckibbin; and America's Got Talent contestant Mia Boostrom.
