Three Brooklyn Ladies at Same Nursing Home Celebrate 100 Years

Surrounded by friends, family and neighbors, three women celebrated combined 303 years of life at The Allure Group's Crown Heights Center

NEW YORK, March 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Three Brooklyn residents living at The Allure Group's Crown Heights Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation celebrated a special centenarian feat on Monday, March 6 in Brooklyn, N.Y., surrounded by friends, family and neighbors to honor their extraordinary lives. In total the women have lived a combined 303 years.

Lucille Price, 100, Sophia Smith, 101, and Grace Marie Baker, 102, were showered with flowers and words of praise, and received certifications from the Social Security Administration and citations from Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.

Lucille Price, born in 1916 and from Guyana, was a former house wife and hairdresser. She has 20 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

Sophia Smith, also from Guyana, is an active church member in her community and enjoys visits from her five children.

Grace-Marie Baker has lived in Brooklyn for 86 years. Her hobbies include cooking, painting, and visiting museums.

All three ladies are friends and enjoy each other's company.

The 295-bed Crown Heights Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation specializes in short-term, post-acute rehabilitation and long-term residential care, and is part of The Allure Group's growing network of skilled nursing facilities.
